Article 370 gave the special status to the region of Jammu and Kashmir and kept limits on the parliaments powers to draft decisions for the state. But on Monday, 5th August,2019 the president of India signed a decree abolishing Article 370 of the constitution, cancelling the significant autonomy that Kashmir enjoyed for several decades.
